As a didge player and a woodworker, tung oil with or without the additives listed by others is a reliable, durable and easy way to coat the inside of a didge. I have done all my wooden didges to help reduce drying out and cracking and to brighten the sound a bit.

What Chad said above.
On a different note. The teak didgeridoo you have is not a yidaki. Thats a term
reserved for a certain geographical location of didges officialy made by Aboriginal people from
eucalyptus.
Just saying :)

oiling the bore will make the sound better. I use a mixture of tung, linseed, and citrus. If you don't want to invest in all the oils to mix up that cocktail you could either just use pure tung (avoid anything with driers or additives) or I can even send you a sealed bottle of the mix I use. Attempting anything else in there other than oils would be difficult. Epoxy resins are commonly used to great results in didges but your teak didj was drilled out and there are most likely plenty of loose splinters in there that would catch epoxy but not get sealed into the coating thereby leaving something stiff sticking out into the bore that will rattle and buzz until you're driven certifiably crazy.
Sacredhollow.com also sells their oil mixture at an affordable price, you might be making just as good or even better investment there than you could at a hardware store, and their product is already packed up ready for shipping. Their oils are listed under 'care products and accessories. $13 for 16 ounces.

Ok, so I have this beautiful Yidaki that I puchased. The only issue (to me) is, it is made of teek (sp) wood and as you know is verry soft. This is where the issue becomes apparent. I have been enjoying the sound for sometime, however think it would sound better if I coated the inside with some sort of resin. This I have researched quite a bit; consequently have found no really testimonials abut doing it. So, I come to you to see what you think about it and your opions on the matter. Or if you have any other ideas about what I should use. I would greatly appriciate it.

Cheers.
